THIS (Thank Heaven It's Summer!!!)

I've been working on my "To-Do" List. This is a list that is difficult to work on during the school year. It's only Wednesday and I've:
  1. Bought a new desk, put the desk together, organized my new desk, transferred 10 boxes of Physics files home, sorted through them & kept one copy of the best stuff & refiled it into my new 4-drawer filing cabinet at home.
  2. Began working on lesson plans for the Fall.
  3. Shampooed the den carpet.
  4. Put up new drapery rods in the den, washed the drapes & rehung them.
  5. Tried a new dinner roll recipe that turned out to be Fabulous!!!!
& all this, just to avoid going to the gym.

The recipe:
3-2/3 Cups  King Arthur All-purpose flour
3t                 Instant Yeast
1/3- Cup     Granulated Sugar
1t                 Salt
1-Cup          Milk
6-T              Butter
3 large        Egg Yolks

  1. Whisk together the flour, yeast, sugar & salt
  2. Heat the milk, & butter until the butter melts. The milk should NOT get hot, just lukewwarm.
  3. Pour the milk mixture and eggs into the dry ingredients & mix on low until the flour is completely moistened. (1 - 2 minutes)
  4. Knead the bread until the dough is smooth and elastic. About 5 minutes on medium high if you are using a mixer with a dough hook.
  5. Shape the dough into a ball, grease the sides of a large bowl, place the dough in the bowl & cover with plastic wrap. Let the dough rise until it doubles in size. About 55 minutes.
  6. Punch the risen dough down & divide the dough into 16 even pieces.
  7. Lightly grease a 9x13 Pyrex baking dish with butter.
  8. Roll each of the 16 pieces into a smooth ball and place in the pyrex dish seam side down.
  9. Let the dough rise about 60 minutes.
  10. Bake at 375 degrees for about 22 minutes. I had to put an aluminum foil "tent" over the baking rolls to prevent the tops from burning while the dough completely baked.
